Here we are once again folks, calling all scale railfans and model train enthusiasts in and around Southern California! Coming this weekend, the bi-annual operating event at the California Southern Model Railroad Club in Norwalk, CA. The train club’s 25′ x 75′ (double-deck) HO Scale layout will be open to the public for our weekend long Open House! Saturday, November 11; Sunday, November 12; and the following Tuesday evening, November 14.
Admission is free as always, plus there will be dozens raffle prizes donated by numerous club friends, model manufacturers, and local So Cal hobby shops. Snacks and cold drinks will be available, A limited amount of donated Model RR stuff for sale (including a large collection of outdoor/G scale structures), and a wide variety of HO scale model trains will be set up and running all day Saturday, Sunday, and the following Tuesday evening. Raffle prizes will again be drawn immediately after the Tuesday night session. Hours and directions are below. If you’re not too busy, please come on by! It’s looking like it’ll be another picture perfect California sunshine weekend!

How do we get there?
From Los Angeles:
Take Interstate 5 south to Norwalk, CA and exit at Imperial Highway [exit 122]. Keep straight after exiting the freeway, following the frontage road down towards Norwalk Blvd. Turn right at the next light (San Antonio Dr.), then left at Firestone Blvd. The club is to your right after your turn onto Firestone.
From Orange County:
Take Interstate 5 north to Norwalk, CA and exit at Norwalk Blvd [exit 121]. Turn left (under the 5 Fwy), then left again at Firestone Blvd. Again, the club is to your right after the turn onto Firestone.
From the Inland Empire:
Head west on the 60 Fwy to Interstate 605 south. Transition to the 5 South and follow the Los Angeles instructions above.
Or, head west on the 91 Fwy, transition to the 5 north in Buena Park, CA and follow the Orange County instructions above.
